Engineering Insights have been conducting in-house and online training courses and practical workshops for the industry since 1998. Additionally, our staff have developed and delivered highly successful modules for M.Sc. courses in Petroleum Production Engineering at Robert Gordon University (RGU) in Aberdeen since 2016.

Typical in-house or on-line courses and workshop are 4 to 5 days in duration and range in skill level from introductory to advanced.

All courses are customised for each client – topics, content, software, skill level and duration – to ensure that the training is highly targeted for achieve specific learning objectives.

Practical workshops use client data to analyse, troubleshoot and optimise well, reservoir and field performance.

Costs are based on the course duration and the travel time to the course location, not the number of participants. This is particularly cost effective for larger groups. The maximum number of participants is 12 for software based courses or practical workshops and 16 for non-software based courses.

For software based courses (e.g. Petex IPM or KAPPA Workstation), the client is responsible for the provision of software licences for participants and the instructor.

All courses are accredited by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) and will earn continuing profession development (CPD) hours. Note that CPD hours are roughly equivalent to Continuing Education Units (CEU) or PDH (professional development hours).
